Located in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, Tree House a residential project completed by Taller Estilo Arquitectura. He not only respects the natural and built environments, but in fact an essential part of his character. The space has been optimized to reuse all the existing structure, rearranging areas and incorporating natural ventilation and the favorable illumination for each area of the house. The new building was added between Zapote tree and the existing building, thus defining two outdoor areas, a comfortable and intimate central courtyard and a large courtyard surrounded by the greenery of the immediate context. The interiors are bold, eye-catching and modern although each room is decorated with traditional local art pieces. The tree is the protagonist with the circular pool, playing with building curved shapes that keep the tree.
