A Church Transformed Into A Eye Catching Minimalist Home

Linc Thelen design with Scrafano Architects transformed a church into a house for a family with three young children in Chicago, Illinois. The church has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The great room has soaring ceiling heights to 25 feet. Finishes have been selected to create a hip and eclectic atmosphere combining attractive wallpaper and light fixtures. Linc custom designed and manufactured a large number of details of the house as the climbing wall, table dining room, Murphy bed in the nursery and much of the furniture. The house has historic details of the church with original stained glass windows, bell tower, exposed brick and ceiling tensioners while incorporating all the amenities of modern life.
